Mettler Table Lamp

I love these lamps but only giving 3 stars because of an issue with the protective coating someone else also mentioned in their review. It was flaking off when I unpacked my 2 lamps and I was able to remove it from one lamp, but the other one stubbornly refuses to come off. In the photo, the dark part is where the coating remains....any suggestions? I used a plastic scraper and tired a bit of nail polish remover--no luck. The lamps are sturdy and lovely--a little darker than shown in the picture but they look lighter when the light is on.. Shades are nice also but not white-mine are a very light taupe. (I ordered the ivory lamps).

Lamp is beautiful in so many different places. I had no idea that the base being made out of cement would lend to a delicate look. I have placed it in three different rooms still can’t decide which I like best.

I love these lamps! They look so good! There was damage on the base of one lamp and I just called Wayfair and emailed some pictures and they immediately shipped another lamp. Their customer service was great. The lamps put off just enough light and they add just the right touch to my living room. They are beautiful!

I love this lamp, it goes with my sofas, the material is super heavy, its not a cheap lamp looks so pretty. the details on the bottom are incredible, it was easy to build its taken me like 5 minutes, delivery was faster and on time. Now my living room looks bright and elegant thank youll get two more for my bedroom.

It’s a beautiful lamp. Heavy and well made. The texture is almost “cement-like”. It looks beautiful in my guest bedroom. Please note the silver/cream color is more of a mushroom color (more beige than cream.) However, it’s still beautiful and not worth me deducting a star for it. I’ve included a picture of the pair of lamps I received. A great value for such a well-made piece! I love Wayfair!❤️

So let me start off by saying that I needed a lamp and I wasn't particularly picky about what I was going to get but I'm glad I ended up getting this one. The only reason that I gave it four stars is because when it arrived there was some sort of film on the base of the lamp and the base that's above the middle of the lamp(directly below the lightbulb) and it start peeling everywhere while I was putting it together. Aside from that though, this thing is honestly wonderful! It's extremely sturdy to start and has a great amount of weight to it, making it more difficult to knock over if you were to say bump the table that it's sitting on or something. Certainly well constructed, even down to the shade. Most lamp shades I see are extremely flimsy and it can be easy to accidentally mess up the form of it by simply brushing past it too hard. If you're considering buying this, I'd say go ahead and do it. The film I noted is purely cosmetic and could've just been me or it was some sort of top coating that was intentional but peeled easily. Either way it doesnt affect how it works, just have to vacuum it all up after putting the lamp together!
