On the one hand, I love this chandelier -- it's simplicity, clean lines, and geometric crystal shades are beautiful. And it's very easy to assemble -- not much to do besides screwing in the crystal shades. However, I have a couple major issues: First, while I measured everything in the space and did my best to imagine how it would actually look there, it's much smaller than depicted in the product images. Yet, the most challenging part for me is that it doesn't hang low enough. While I thought I'd be able to finagle something (like getting an additional downrod to lower it a bit), unfortunately the wires only extend a few extra inches beyond the length of the downrods themselves. So this chandelier is designed for extremely low ceilings (unless you intentionally want a high hanger). I really love this piece -- and I think it's real beauty lies in the mottled lighting it would create through its heavy crystal geometric shades. So I might put it in a BR or perhaps in a hallway.... but I need to think about it more. I'm wondering if I can find downrods to extend the existing ones, I might be able to extend the wiring as well somehow. Again, more thought is required. So in short, LOVE the chandelier, but it poses some logistical issues especially due to the short wires and limited downrod length.

The reason for 4 stars, the black metal is on the cheaper looking side. We will be hanging up in our dinning room shortly. Hoping that the dimmer switch will do the trick because it is very bright. Easy breezy to to put together just screw on the square glass pieces. The bulbs are those push in ones, that seem to be only Halogen ones. So use the white cotton gloves they give you.
