This owl light is a heavy resin cast , very detailed and it’s easy to hang. It comes with a mount and it has a long cord with a finger switch and it plugs into the wall. The only problem I had is that the way it’s drilled and the way the mount sits. It’s not balanced enough to take the weight of the whole light fixture. It definitely needs a brace under the right wing to keep it secure. I’m sure just a small nail that you can’t see would d. Otherwise my daughter and I love this light!

The pictures do not do this wall sconce justice. It is very detailed and beautiful in person. I have the black owl which is really hard to make out the details in a picture and there is a white one available also. This really is a statement piece. The vibe is majestic, a little dark, and Harry Potterish as well as a collectors items for those who collect owl or bird decor or for nature lovers. The size is perfect for my space, if it was smaller it would not make such a big impact. The glass shade is so elegant. It has glass drop crystal pendants that you do have to attach yourself after you unbox, but it is a very simple assembly. I was glad the light bulb was included because it is a type that most of us don't just have lying around the house. The light switch is on the cord and you can click it for three different temperatures to suit your mood. The very best part is that there is no complicated hard wiring at all. There is an included hanging hardware package. Just hang this on the wall directly above an outlet and plug it in. The cord does not look awkward at all or need to be hidden as some do. It is a natural looking part of the design. I have had sooo many compliments on this, it is a conversation piece.
