lovely lamp! going in my nursery. the metal is definitely "brushed" - can't tell if its supposed to be this way or it just wasn't handled carefully in manufacturing... either way, doesn't really bother me. nice and tall too!

The rod is gold paint not actual gold metal. The arc is not adjustable and the bulb points outward a little more than I would have liked. The base is sold and overall the lamp looks nice set in the corner. The light switch is attached to the cord at floor level which should help protect the painted surface since there is no reason to touch or move the lamp.

The quality of this item was very poor. The finish was smeared (damaged) -it appears that the plastic wrapping was added when the paint was wet! The floor switch is ugly and not well designed. The electric cord should be gold--not black. Overall very unhappy with the quality and electrical design.

Overall, my mom was happy with the lamp. Super easy to assemble, but the gold rods came chipped and damaged. Wayfair quickly and easily refunded half the money within two business days (since we decided to keep it.)

Looks great but definitely wobbly and the gold pole came very scratched.
