These worked perfect in our bedroom. The base is a little weird as it doesn't lay flat. Sort of rocks - strange, but thus far not a problem as far as it falling or knocking it over.

Nice lamps from the pictures. Still need to open the package but good thing I have 30 days for return if something doesn't work out.
