I haven't unboxed the tow I purchased yet as I have to installed tongue/groove ceiling first... I'm sure the fans are going to be okay, I wanted specifically pull chain operations for both as I have had such bad luck in past with remotes going out - therefore the fans become 'junk' as they can't be fixed without remote... go figure.

I love this design. I did the flush mount and the screws are very close to the ceiling. I damaged the ceiling trying to get it screwed in. No problems otherwise.
