I purchased two in the antique brass. It's perfect for me. I have many gold finishes in my new renovation. These are not a brash or old-fashioned brass finish. It's more of a gold tone. It does come with a bulb which is a warm light. It does not offer bright light, but enough for a hallway. In the picture, the sconce at the end of the hall is lit while the middle sconce is not. It fits the midcentury modern aesthetic of my new reno.
