We bought this fun in January and at first it was great. After a day or two it started making a loud rubbing noise. We turned it off and tried it the next morning and it was fine. A month later it started again. It has been doing it off and on since then. The manufacturer sent us a new fan and would not compensate us for the now $600-$700 we have now spent on having our electricians back out to remove the first fan and put up the second fan........which by the way, started making the same noise immediately. We have very high ceilings and it is not cheap to have the electricians come out with their equipment to get up there. They wanted us to have the electrician come out to see if it was installed correctly, then after that they would send a replacement fan. I wasn't paying for a third electrician visit! I like the look of the fan but don't think I should have to keep paying for the installation and replacement of their faulty product. I will not be buying from this company again! Good luck if you do.

This fan is expensive but it is exactly what we needed for our back porch! Love the look and is a classic. Plenty of air circulation. Doesn't look too modern, too farmhouse, too traditional--is a great mix of all
