THIS IS NOT A PLUG IN LIGHT. Yes, there is a wire coming out the bottom of the fixture but it ends with wires ready to connect. Youll need to buy your own lamp cord. I got a long one and coiled the wire plus connection inside the lamp. The lamp does not come with an onoff switch. Youll need to buy either a lamp cord with a switch or only plug it in to a receptacle controlled by a light switch. I bought 2 of these. The bottom post was very cranky about attaching on one and I almost gave up on the other. 3 stars for not being truly plug in ready, for not having an onoff switch, and for the cranky assembly of the bottom decorative post. Both lamps work. They look like the picture. The black finish is matte and rustic looking with spots that mimic weathered metal and paint.
