The lamp shade was very unattractive. Very cheap jute. I removed the jute and recovered mine with silk and it made a big difference. Also the lamppost looks like wood but is some sort of plastic. From a distance no one can tell

Lamp did not disappoint. It is elegant yet rustic. The shade is burlap so it has nice texture. The base has nice details. The color to me appears to be a greenish gray. I would purchase again.
