I got this light for a hallway. The sconce that was there before people kept bumping their heads on. This is close to flush against the wall but sticks out just far enough that it makes a larger circle of light behind it. I considered giving the light a 4 because the globe is plastic instead of glass but because it was so inexpensive it seems appropriate for the price.
