Website and contacted representative stated shade was glass. The shade on the light is plastic. Light also has slight flaw in the plastic shade. If the product were advertised correctly I would not have purchased.

Note that the cover is acrylic. Wish it were glass but nice clean lines and looks great in the bathroom as a vanity light. Very bright for the size and works well in dark spaces. Light is cool toned. Great hardware color that matches with both silver and gold fixtures.
