Was identical to the Parrot Uncle ceiling fan and receiver that came with the original ceiling fan. Even if you don't need the receiver right now, you might need it later. The remote worked right out of the box with my fan after installing the batteries of course. My old remote had gotten dropped a few times or whatever and was sporadically failing to transmit. So far this new one works perfectly.
