Pros: this thing is GORGEOUS when its all done. All pieces are glass/crystal, not acrylic.
Cons: I went with what other reviewers said about "a few hours" when I bought it. All I can say is, NOPE. I'm rather certain I didn't even put the right crystals in the right places because I have some left over, but no place to put them. The instruction are basically non-existent, so TIP: lay out all the pieces, and get to know each of them, many of which you wont even need (Trying to figure out which is which is a part of the time-consuming processes.) Start to finish, including planning and strategizing how to do a thing: 5-days. Yes, this took 5-days. Much of that was walking away to figure out the order of operations because those instructions are useless. See one of the images included. Those are the instructions. Literally. One page. One side of the page. We go from Step 5: "connect wires", to Step 6: "hang crystal". Thats not how it works! ("Connect wires" ... followed by "Must turn off power". Dont rely on the instructions!)
(TIME SAVING TIP: After the ceiling case/electrical part is done, plan your wiring out backwards. Start at the lightbulbs and track backwards before you wire a single thing! This will save you a TON of time!)
ADVANCED USERS TIP: While this fixture is not "out of the box" compatible with pull-switch ceiling cases, it is easily converted with the purchase of a pull switch assembly. If I could convert it, I assure you the conversion is super simple!
I compiled my assembly "diary" in photos with notes. While I was monumentally frustrated for 5-straight-days, the end result is pretty spectacular. TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!
4-stars because: those useless instructions. GOODNESS! Help us out Manufacturer!
