The resin/shell is rough, cuts your hands. The lamps arrived with sockets hanging loose and the parts that meet once you pull the cord through the shaft do not allow for the socket to stay securely upright; you will cut your hands just trying, but does not sit securely no matter what. There is a note in the shipment that says to wear gloves to handle the lamps!

The lamps are very pretty. The shades are a bit ivory for the white of the shell column. One of the lamp columns is not set perfectly on the clear base but is slightly askew. There was one small chip out of the shell column on one of the lamps but not too noticeable. Overall nice looking lamps for a coastal home.
