The gold color (I love all golds usually) is a little off putting and makes these lights look a bit cheap. And the metal had a few small areas where it was already beginning to tarnish right out of the box. The shells however were a lovely color and the rings connecting the strands were gold. Unfortunately I wanted to install these in a bathroom but will be returning them instead as I believe they will only tarnish further (and fast) with the humidity.

Metal color is a very strange copper, not gold. Also different metal colors between the base and the hanging rack. 

The most amazing lighting I got the chandelier as well! My office looks just amazing

Buyer beware. The links that tie the capiz stone together are ALL silver, not gold matching the fixture and pictures. Wayfair could not resolve the issue with the supplier after 2 months of attempts. They still offered great customer service in spite of this.
