I'll just say it - STUNNING. Love this lamp. Firstly, it came as probably the best packed for shipment ever. The lamp is an industrial gem - the base and the shade are both metal and the solid metal shade results in a beautiful up and down diffusion of light with no light through the shade itself, producing a beautiful, soft mood light. The construction is heavy and durable. The design of the lamp and the materials used are extremely masculine - maybe for a mans desk. Sorry ladies! I love this lamp and recommend it whole heartedly. I should leave it at that but I will add that I was not crazy about the toggle on/off switch located on the cord - a little tricky to reach. This is a lamp that will last a lifetime!!!
