too large and not great for home/bedside usage

The lamps are nice but the top where the shade hooks onto is no very strong and cheaply made.

Love the base of the lamps and lamp shades. Both of my lampshades arrived with marks on them. It appears they were banged up during shipping. I plan on contacting customer service about the situation.
