I bought these extension rods to cover up the exposed wiring that came with some pendant lights because I didn't like the look of the exposed wires when hung. These rods are advertised as being brushed nickel finish and can cut on site. Well I had to cut them to fit and they are not brushed nickel. They are a dark metal with a "brushed nickel" plastic coating which ends up looking pretty cheap after being cut. Seems like false advertising to me. The finish on the rods does not match the genuine brushed nickel finish of my pendant lights. Meh

after three rods and a call to Emerson made by wayfair the correct one was shipped and the returns were accepted with no issues
