I absolutely love this. It turned a fairly useless ceiling fan light into something that I can actually use and turn on/off without having to get a step stool or stand on the bed to pull the chain. Installation was super easy.

I was looking for a good remote for my fan and light combo and decided to give this Westinghouse remote a try. The remote has a sleek nice look and feels sturdy. It took me a little more than an hour to have the main unit installed with the fan. It comes with everything including batteries and looks better than the original remote that came with the fan. At this price, I loved it and will be ordering the grey colored one soon.

I have not gotten to install this after-market fan remote yet—but it’s pet straight forward. The only difficult part seems to be having the right bracket to fit both the fan and the receiver and then getting it all to fit—it’s a tight fit so things have to be aligned very well.

This is a very basic ceiling fan and light remote. It is a small size and comes with the batteries included. If you are looking for any bells and whistles like a timer or a thermostat, this would not work for you. It does have light and fan speed adjustments so if the standard basic commands are all you need, it works.
