Associate abused customer by offering discount on future purchases instead of solving problems in your supply chain and shipping process. You guys should stop using this tactic. Shameful.

Not 87 inches. The highest possible reach obtained is 85 inches; the metal arm height not the shade. So because the shade hangs down you will have 70 1/4 inches of actual height due to the shade height of 11 1/4 inches. In addition, the extendable rod is not protected and so mine has scrapes on about a 1 -1/2 inch portion of curved rod exposed.

Instructions can be a little clearer although not hard to put together.

Great lamp. It’s a lot bigger than you think.
