Works great over our small kitchen island - and allows for "tall people" head clearance. 3 sets of rod/extenders provided for you to chose. Will say-a bit dim - may need supplemental lighting. We had that - so this works nicely. The photo is the light without supplemental.

Nice light! Love the shape and the fact that light is shining down instead of up like most chandelier type lighting. Will purchase again for dining table.
