I really like the versatility of the product. Initially, the plan was to use it as designed with the lights downward; however, there was an issue with the space from the old unit and my ability to open my new glass medicine cabinet. Therefore, I reversed it and the lights are now upward. Problem solved without having to return/exchange the vanity light. Thanks to my daughter for this excellent suggestion to try!
