This lamp is perfect for placing next to a reading chair. The uplight is enough to illuminate the corner of our large great room. The switch on the pole is convenient for changing from uplight to reading light or both. Very pleased with this purchase.

I love the way this lamp looks behind my recliner. The lower light comes on when I want to read but poor fun ambience I’ve put a flickering candlelight in the upper globe and leave it on to illuminate the rum in the evening good purchase reasonably priced easy Peezy to put together.

Very happy with this. I bought this for my husband’s side of our loveseat since his eyesight is getting worse from macular degeneration. He loves to read & work sudokus. This works great for him.
