Love this floor lamp! It looks great next an upholstered chair in my guest bedroom. My only complaint is the packaging. Took me FOREVER to get it out of the box. Once out of the box, it took minutes to assemble.

The packaging was cursed. The base is so heavy (ultimately a good thing…) that it wrecked the styrofoam. The weight plus lack of structural stability of the styrofoam made it impossible to get out of the box I had to literally tear the box off around the packaging. Somehow there were immediately styrofoam pellets distributed across 5 or 6 rooms of my house, and if I hadn’t used a hand vac to try to contain it every single time I touched the packaging to try to extract the lamp parts, I’m sure I’d still be finding pellets a week later. Unboxing should have been a joy but it was infuriating (I’m an Aries). My family was scared of for me. I took a deep breath after extracting the lamp parts and cleaning up as much styrofoam as possible. I was ready to give the lamp a higher rating after meditating on the fact that unboxing is temporary but the lamp itself is forever. But then I noticed there was gunk on some of the protective plastic and on the cord. Gross but ok, it was mostly just on the plastic wrappers… But THEN I noticed that there was an obviously damaged spot on the inside of the lamp shade that had been very sloppily “repaired.” I did not purchase this lamp as an open box or ‘seconds’ product. I spent like twice as much as I’d usually spend on a lamp, in a moment of treat-yo’-self weakness. Quality control was obviously on their lunch break when my lamp was packed up. Looks fantastic in my room, I really love the look of the lamp. Nice gold tone finish, good light, stands level.

It’s my favorite floor lamp to date. The black marble base is a great design to compliment the gold body of the lamp. The height is perfect against my couch while I’m seated, and it’s not blinding.

A very nice quality lamp that is great for reading.

Two of the body parts have the same kind of screw so the lamp cannot be assembled. The parts cannot be replaced because the electric wiring runs through the base, body and the shade. It means the whole lamp needs replacement. If that is not enough, the package was damaged and it is not viable to repack and reship either. I requested a replacement without reshipping and will update if I receive a new lamp in usable condition. Such a waste!
