I had the pendants installed; they look good. I'm a little put off by the small veins (3) that attach to the glass shade (they're a little crooked), but overall they look nice over my island.

We purchased these pendant lights (3 of them) for our bathroom vanity. They work very well, and fit our contemporary decor well. Note that these take narrow incandescent bulbs, and this might affect your choice if you are going with all-LED or all-florescent.
