It's a striking and beautiful piece that really helps brighten a room up without blinding you, since it's position above eye level. Unfortunately assembly was too difficult, and I ended up puncturing the lampshade why trying to expand it. In my opinion, it is not self-assembly material, since the inner piece that keeps it open is quite sharp and the lampshade needed a lot of force to expand. Took me many tries to get it right, and I am usually pretty handy. It's a big bummer to damage a piece you just got, so I think self assembly should be limited things that don't run that risk so easily. Still love it in my living room.

Love the lamp, very solid and provides great lighting. Only issue I had was that the initial package came incomplete so I had to order a replacement.

perfect lamp! great price. we have high loft ceiling’s so it was perfect. took my bf 45 min to put together!
