Honestly I haven’t had the chance to install this yet but I have several friends that have used these before and it didn’t seem to be difficult. I ordered a large number of these fixtures to replace old bulb based fixtures in my house. These look good and work well, if you can get them installed. Unfortunately, the retention springs that are used to hold the light in place within the can are way too stiff. When trying to bend them to position in the clips within the can, the springs snap in half, rendering the light useless, because you can no longer get them installed properly. I have had at least 6 of them snap their spring. Wayfair was nice enough to send out replacements, but I would be very hesitant of buying these. If you do, make sure to wear goggles when installing, because when those springs snap, it can be dangerous with how much tension is on the spring and your face will probably be right next to them..
