I ordered this to light up my small living room that doesn’t have any light fixture. It was to be used in an outlet controlled by a switch. However this lamp has a tap to turn on and is not functional being controlled by a switch. Additionally I ordered it specifically because it claimed to be heavy as it is going on carpet but it is extremely wobbly. I’m really happy with this floor lamp! It was easy to put together, and I had it set up in no time. My daughter absolutely loves that it can change colors. Stunning! Very nice quality and simple to assemble. However, parts are quite heavy so 2 people would be better. A couple of notes there is no walnut on this lamp. Also, 60 watt per bulb, maximum, as is noted on fixture. The description calls for up to 150w max, however when I tried 100w bulbs, the didn’t all dim evenly and they were intermittently turning off and on.
