When off, these bulbs are hardly noticeable in our hall fixtures. If you use them in an open chandelier where the bulbs are visible, there is no unsightly label or writing on the glass. Each fixture has 3 bulbs, and presently not on dimmers. When on, the light is plenty bright but not harsh. However, I will be installing dimmers. BTW, these fixtures are from Wayfair.
