Celadon

"Road to Canton" is a gloriously fun interpretive pattern celebrating a journey through the countryside. Dogs, Asian pagodas, ginko trees and a boat ride down the river all join together in a whimsical pattern painted by John Loecke of Madcap Cottage. We offer two versions of the eight coloured pattern in porcelain, and on our Delfern Bench in coral and celadon fabrics. Canton is a narrow jar rectangle shaped lamp with a rectangle lucite base. Accented with aged brass hardware and crystal ball finial.

Under the madcap cottage for the Port 68 collection, the mill reef lamp is a design classic. Scaled in a double gourd shape, this porcelain lamp works well next to the sofa, end table, or buffet. The lamp will ship with our classic off-white hardback shade (as shown), but the madcap gents suggest mixing it up with one of their patterned shades from their collection. After a weekend in Southampton, the Madcap's Jason and John were inspired by the local lake with its glorious flora lily pad flowers. John dashed to paint his version of the picturesque weekend. At first I was a little concerned because some of the flowers looked orange and I have no orange in my room. But when it arrived they were a deep pink which was perfect. It’s nice that the on off switch is on the cable and not the light socket. My only reservation is that the design of the lamp base is not illuminated.
