The wiring for a DIYer, was a little challenging. Primarily getting the wired unit to squeeze into it mounting position. That said, it is secured. The fan itself operates perfectly. Is whisper-quiet. This is a beautiful and quiet fan and I had it installed in my bedroom, but after a month or two I'm having the same issue as some of the other reviews. It will run for a few days and then shut off. Sometimes I can get it to come back on right away and other times it will take a day or two before it will turn back on. It was installed by an electrician and I've had him check for any possible issues and it seems to be the fan itself.
