I ordered this fan to replace an older fan. I wanted something slicker and updated. My old fan had five blades that were 6 inch shorter than these. My boyfriend and I thought that it would only take about three hours to take down the old fan and put the new one up, but let’s say it took us about eight hourswith a run to the hardware store for a few parts. The fan is beautiful and the crystal accents are a great add. The hook at the bottom of the light lit was broken off so I wasn’t able to add the crystal ball accent at the bottom.
