Very soft and plush. It did well in my washing machine. Aside from one part that looked like it got burnt or something.. but when I put some Shout stain remover it seemed to get rid of the burnt stuff.. but anyway so far I love this comforter. My body temp runs hot but I slept like a baby with this comforter. I didn’t wake up feeling hot or sweaty like I normally do. It’s what I expected! I bought in 2 different colors. I do not care about the wrinkles in it my kids are young and don’t care. It is very light weight and fluffy that’s all my kids wanted. I did wash them first before I put them on. There wasn’t a smell but you should always wash bedding before laying in it.
