Sold wood? The sides are an oak veneer, but I suppose technically plywood is solid wood. I think saying "for TV's up to 43 inches" is a CYA thing. My 55" TV works just fine on it. My floors are hard wood, but I can see how a carpeted floor could make it less stable. Wayfair lowered the price by $180 shortly after ordering, but would not give me a price adjustment.

Love it! This cabinet is everything I'd hoped it would be - solid wood, stain I'd wanted, it is as described and looks/fits great in our living room! I'd definitely recommend this product and this manufacturer!

Well constructed. Not too stable for a tv larger than 32 inches.
