Our beautiful cats taught me that upholstered headboards are just a canvas for their kitty claws to destroy. As such, I had to find a replacement that the smallest members of our family won't take as an open challenge. I've always loved metal bedframes for their simplicity and timelessness. This bedframe provided the perfect economical solution to our in house designer (destructor) problem. Bonus: it looks far more expensive than it is. It went together quickly (I built it by myself in less than an hour), the instructions were clear, and so far no squeaking. I'll report back should that change over time.

Easy to install and sturdy- does not squeak. I did add a sheet of plywood under the mattress only bc the slats seemed narrow to me. Looks great! Love the height for storage underneath.
