Assembly was much more complex than expected for an item like this. Parts (especially screws) were not labeled and the instructions were unclear (with small pictures that didn’t suffice to show orientation of asymmetric parts). Most connections were made with wood screws. We managed to assemble it, but the drawer doesn’t pull out smoothly. Looks fine and consistent with the picture.

This is a nice bookshelf. The wood finish is beautiful. Assembly took about 3 hrs, the instructions are only pictures which made it more difficult than necessary. The hardware had some parts that wouldn’t work due to a manufacturing defect which I took 1 star away from. The defect part is an exact count without any extras. Had to rethread that part to get it to work. Overall it is a beautiful piece.

This is a very nice bookshelf. Once put togeether, I love it. I rate if 4 stars because it has the worst instructions I have ever had. The parts, especially screws don't have numbered bags nor are they pictured to size in the instruction manual. The screws have different letters but are the same screws as other letters. There are only so many types in the bag and the count is way off. I did have a lot of extras so that was a plus. Especially since some of the smaller screws had metal in the phillips head hole. The directions make it very difficult to see what direction things should be put together. The frame or metal sides don't line up properly and I had to almost force them together. I did provide a picture of the top corner where the metal is buckled because it didn't line up properly. I recommend not putting the rail on the draws first as it blocks the locking mechanism from going in. It took me so long to review because I had to stop after 4 hours of putting it together and taking it apart to make it right. It would have gone a lot easier if the directions were clearer. I have put many things together with pictures only. The other thing that bothered me is the only tools that would fit right was the allen wrench with phillips head that came with it. I have two sets of allen wrenches and not one would fit when I dropped one provided and couldn't find it.

Nice book shelf. Doesn’t take up much room but has one drawer and one cabinet for files and supplies or books. Easy to put together. Would definitely recommend. Wish it came in black or all white. But it works nicely for me
