Seems sturdy. I'm a play therapist and have been using it for the past couple of years to hold a wooden sandtray on top and several toys on the bottom shelf. No complaints. As described, some sort of wood/laminate combination but well crafted and not obviously cheap like some.

Very basic white coffee table. Heavy which makes it feel more sturdy. Careful with the top, we but a picture frame down and it scraped it up a bit but otherwise good quality.

It’s the perfect length and it allows you to use it as an eating table while watching your favorite show. The bottom is functional because I added a little bed for my dogs and they hang out with us too avoiding from getting on our couch
