By Eric Nagle – 90x46 inch cardboard cutout of the Olive tree of Vouves.This legendary olive tree has a 15 foot diameter trunk, and is at least 2,000 years old, but likely more than twice as old. Exact aging can’t be done, but the likelihood that it lived through the writing of Iliad, the golden age of Athens, the rise and fall of the Roman Empire, Christ’s birth, the time of mastodons, the Aztecs, and so much more. We can’t get any storeys from it, but we can still get olives from it.
