I received the item yesterday afternoon and spent about 4 hours putting it together on my own. My initial impressions are favorable; it appears sturdy and well-designed. My only issue is that the product was marketed as manufactured by Upper Square (which I presumed to be a private label brand of Wayfair); however, it's clear from the packaging that the manufacturer is Sauder. Sauder is a national manufacturer that sells its products to a variety of retailers (as well as directly from its own website) and doesn't have very good reviews for quality. I considered Sauder, but due to the reviews, I went with Wayfair, thinking I was buying a similar design from a Wayfair brand only to realize that I had purchased a Sauder product after all. Wayfair should do more to be transparent as to what company is responsible for manufacturing the products sold on their website.
