The stand does everything as expected and is very sturdy. We have a larger/bulkier projector. I was worried the tray wouldn't be able to hold its weight, but it seems ok with the fabric band that was provided. The only thing I don't like is that the stand goes up and down, but there's no capability to change the actual angle of the projector/tray. You can only use it flat. In this case you would still need something under the front end if you want to project higher up your wall etc.
