ALEKO Motorized Retractable Outdoor Awning with White Frame

The instructions that came with this were so bad that my awning is just hanging there. It can’t be extended and it can’t be retracted.

Tough build.

We like it a lot, we shall see how durable it is going to be here in Wyoming. Assembly was pretty straightforward, I did watch the video as well as the paper instructions and got it done. I am going to add two posts to support the corner ends.

We received our awning quickly and it arrived packaged in 3 boxes. Assembly was fairly easy but not quite adequately illustrated by the instruction booklet. We opted for a left hand motor installation which is not clearly addressed. The motor includes several items that are not needed for either end install. After toying with the pieces parts, the motor was successfully installed. Our awning is a 12x10 which we mounted over our balcony. Since our house is stucco over foam insulation, I removed a 6” x 12’ section of siding and replaced it with a 2”x 6” x 12’ board. The awning is attached to the board with the 3 included mounts. I opted to attach the mounts with 12” carriage bolts to the board prior to using 6” screws to affix the 12’ board to the house. Once the awning was installed in the mounts, adjustment of the awning stop points was straight forward. The remote control for extension and retraction works flawlessly. This awning is a great value for the money and made with quality materials.
