This is a really great pergola! Assembly took a little bit, but it was definitely worth it. It is solid and really nice looking. The possibilities are endless for this solid cedar pergola! It is definitely something to elevate your outdoor space!

I ordered the 10x13 Cedar Pergola with Trellis Roof, Weather-resistant Supports & Anchoring Stakes, Reddish Brown and was very disappointed. The pergola is real cedar wood; however, the only part that is thick and sturdy is the 4 poles which supports the trellis. The 4 poles are only 7 ft tall ( my husband is 6 feet tall) and for them to be sturdily grounded, requires footings and the poles to be placed in cement. The stakes that came with the pergola are very cheap, thin, and only 7 inches long so there is no way those stakes would anchor the cedar wood and be stable and supportive. We are going to have to place the poles in cement and since they are 7 feet tall, will need to be raised up 3 feet then encased in the cement. We are required to get a building permit before any footings can be placed and the pergola assembled; so we have not been able to erect the pergola until the permit is obtained. I really should have sent it back, but I wanted a cedar pergola so badly and my husband is trying to make it work.

We recently purchased this pergola and overall we’re very happy with how it turned out. Once assembled, it looks beautiful and adds a nice focal point to our landscape bed. The design is attractive, and the size was perfect for creating a garden feature without overwhelming the space. Assembly was straightforward, and all of the parts were labeled well. The wood accepted stain nicely, which allowed us to customize the color to better match our porch and decking. (The lighter wood shown in some photos is the original factory color before staining.) The only reason I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars is that several pieces arrived damaged from shipping. A few boards had broken ends and cracked sections around the pre-drilled holes. Fortunately, the damaged pieces were not structural components, and we were able to repair them with wood glue and still complete the build without needing replacement parts. Despite the shipping damage, the finished pergola feels sturdy, looks great, and was a good value for the price. If the manufacturer improved packaging and shipping protection, this would easily be a 5-star product. Overall, we’re pleased with the final result and look forward to training climbing plants over it for years to come. Note: The photos showing broken pieces were taken before assembly and before staining. The finished pergola photos show the completed project after staining began.

This is a beautiful pergola. It wasn’t too hard to put together. My husband put it together alone. It’s very nice and looks like it will hold up for a long time since it’s cedar I’m so happy with it. I’m growing my Peggy Martin roses on it

I really like this pergola! It’s not the best picture because of the way my phone is, but this pergola is very heavy duty and nice. It does take two people to assemble, but I love the trellis top! The instructions were pretty clear into the point, and the package came within a few days
