This umbrella anchor arrived very quickly and was well packaged. My husband recessed it into the decking so it would sit flush with the deck boards. He needed to add some blocking under the deck and he used 5.5 inch structural screws to anchor it to the deck underpinning’s. It worked very well and feels rock solid. Previously we had a 30 inch square thick plastic anchor which was so bulky you couldn’t slide chairs out on that side of the table. This plate has freed up so much space that the old anchor was occupying. I would buy it again.

Wonderful umbrella!!!

This is exactly what I needed to get rid of the big ugly base on my umbrella. The holes for the umbrella base are tapped for M8 bolts. The outer holes work for 14 bolts. The base is powder coated dark grey with some metallic flakes. This comes with 16 lag screws that are about 2” long. I didn’t use these as they wouldn’t sink far enough into the support joists.

I love my umbrella. Everyone is amazed at how much area it covers.

Update 9/26/2025: PurpleLeaf saw this review and contacted me. they replaced the umbrella fabric at no charge. Thank you Purrpleaf. Initiall we loved our umbrellas and our friends purchased one as well. However this did not hold up. It is tearing at the corners! We bought this in June 2023 so only two seasons old. It wintered in the garage. We always take it down at night and do not leave it up in strong winds. Nite I see they tagged this as Neighbors Program and received free product. NOT TRUE!! We BOUGHT this from Wayfair
