We have this umbrella less than a month, it has been raisedlowered possible 20 times (maximum) and the cord connected the the crank is already snapped. So we can no longer raise and lower the umbrella Shame as it seemed quite sturdy when putting together, and it looks good!!

UPDATE: After just under two months, we experienced a mechanical failure of our umbrella. As others have experienced the internal cord that opens and closes the umbrella snapped without any wrong handling and now the umbrella will not open. What a huge disappointment. I hope the company customer service is actually as good as mentioned by others. The umbrella is beautiful, sturdy and was reasonably easy to put together. I was unable to locate a compatible umbrella weight to go with this but did find some nice sand bags to use for the recommended 180lbs weight. There does appear to be a minor tilt to the iron in the way it was fused with the base but it hasn’t caused problems or anything and the umbrella appears level. The umbrella does bounce/move a bit in even slight wind gusts (5-10mph) but nothing that has caused us any fear of it falling over or being broken. The included cover is a stellar edition. Overall we are very pleased with our purchase and hope that with consistently good caretaking it will last us a long time.

I can’t recommend this umbrella. In fact, stay away. It fell over and broke within minutes due to a light breeze. We put it up on our deck, anchored by this manufacturer’s weighted base. It was not a windy day. A light breeze pushed the whole thing over within minutes of opening it. It fell slowly but the impact on my deck broke something in the center where the umbrella’s arms come together. Now it won’t close or open completely and is effectively unusable. We’re fortunate no one got hurt.

2 of the corner pockets had loose seems so the poles just went straight through. Expected better quality for price paid

Ordered two of these. One of the two broke and is not usable after less than 20 uses. It’s over 30 days so it’s not guaranteed for a replacement. For the price, the quality is awful.
