I have had this item for two months. Yesterday I noticed that the crank housing is cracked so that you can see the crank mechanism. When you turn the handle you can see the crank moves into opening created by the crank. I would be careful purchasing this item other than that it works well.

Perfect size for the deck

I like the umbrella, the size was perfect. There are structural issues letting it up read hard and the side of the handle broke. I haven't had it long at all.

LOVE this umbrella! It was simple to put together and seems to be good quality. The umbrella can easily be lifted up with the handle and opened (pictured). The only problem I have found is the arms are so long they get caught on my furniture when trying to lift open or shut the umbrella. The BEST part about this umbrella is the ability to swivel. The foot pedal (pictured) allows one to swivel the umbrella from one direction to another. As you can see in the pictures, the umbrella is partially over our couchtable and then swiveled to directly over the table. This is easy to do and so convenient! Be aware that the base does not come with the umbrella.

Living in Arizona we needed an extra large patio umbrella to help cover as much area as possible. Shade is imperative! This is a very sturdy well made large umbrella that does just that. Comes with a stand but you need to purchase an umbrella weight separately.
