I was pleased that it was almost completely assembled. However - there was a missing piece. I emailed customer service with a photo of the area that was missing a part, and they replied back a stock email asking for a photo. Seriously? I emailed back and have not heard from them since.

This umbrella stand is attractive and very well made. If you choose to fill it with sand it is easy with dry sand and a funnel. I do not recommend using play sand as it is difficult to pour into the opening.
