The pump is underwhelming. The solar panel is way under-powered...it barely runs 7 hours a day in sunny Arizona and the pump can barely push water 1" above the surface of our fountain. The solar panel needs to be 3W at least. A 3w panel is maybe $1 or $2 more at wholesale prices, why make this Piece of Youknowwhat when for $2 more, we could have something that actually works as advertised. There is an option to charge the battery so you can run for 4 hours at night...just don't expect the fountain to run during the day while it is charging the battery.

Worked out of the box. Sleek design - battery & control board attached to solar panel. Pump comes with filter box, so there’s a high probability it should last longer than the other mfr I had.

I bought the deluxe solar cell kit but all I needed/used was the solar cell plus battery. I have an SL-467 fountain bought in 2022 and the original pump and LED lights still work. Hooked up the new solar cell panel and everything ran great. The solar panel battery lasts for four 4-hour sessions before discharging. Takes two days of sun light to recharge from that point.
