I bought this base because my market umbrella kept blowing over in the resin base I previously had. This base is wonderful and my new umbrella has not budged at all on breezy days. I chose to fill the base with water but you do have the option of filling this with sand as well. Please make sure you position this base where you want it before filling or you won’t be able to move it (learned the hard way). I’ve had this umbrella base for 2 years out in the sun, rain and snow and it’s still in good shape.
