This railing hook is definitely not for an apartment lol it is huge it sticks out so far. It’s so huge and bulky not what I was expecting at all. There’s no way to reach it to even put bird food in it If it’s hanging over your balcony it’s a little ridiculous! Hahaha I would be embarrassed to put this on my patio. It looks awful. However, if you have a deck or something out back of your house, possibly I would recommend and I would definitely say whatever you hang from. It would need to be pretty heavy and pretty big otherwise it’s not gonna look right lol I will never use this item.

This is exactly what I wanted. It holds our long bird feeder up and away from the deck so I can still see the birds sitting on it. It's strong enough for rhe large feeder plus seed
